Customer Rating: Summary: Best value for the money Comment: A very nice gadget to have around. The overall performance is very good. It feels heavy with 8 D-type batteries in it but it is bright and has some nice characteristics that make it an excellent value for the money. The only concern is the remote. It does not have the advertised range. Maybe its battery needs replacement... At first glance, I thought this lantern did not work- it only received one star! FYI, not all lanterns are used by campers. My 87 year-old mother, who worrys about power outages, has a Coleman lantern like this on her table. A remote-control could help her in such a situation. Coleman products are usually excellent, this one should be the same.
