Summary: Great tent. Performs well in rain. Needs two people/heavy.

We camped recently for the first time ever. We used this tent for this trip. It rained continuously from the time we pitched the tent at 3PM all through the night. We could even see puddles of water formed around the camp ground. But this tent held up very good in rain. Did not even have a wet drop.
The tent was relatively cheap, but looks well built. I cannot comment on durability since we used it only once.
Very roomy. The fact that you can stand up in the tent makes a big difference in feeling like home.
Negatives:
I would have given it five, except for the fact that, this tent is heavy. Pitching it, particularly securing the rain-fly needs to people to do it properly. Even then, it took us about an hour to pitch the tent completely with rain-fly and securing the guy lines.
The tent itself is made of decent materials, but the stakes supplied look cheap. Better off buying somewhat sturdier stakes.
Overall I would recommend this tent if you need space, good performance in rain and would not mind the weight and needing two people to pitch.

Comment: It housed 4 of us easily. It kept us dry during the rain and stayed in place during high winds. We practiced putting it up in our backyard prior to our trip and it was very simple. We had it up and ready for action within 20 minutes and that was with fairly high winds!

Comment: We just put our tent up for the first time since receiving it. We set it up in the backyard for a trial run before our camping trip. We are very suprised at the size and quality of this tent for the price we paid. It was very easy to put up...my husband had it set up in about 20 minutes and pretty much set it up on his own. We are a family of 4 and plan to set up 2 queen size blow up mattresses up for sleeping plus all of our gear and we find it is plenty big enough.

Comment: Coleman Montana Big Sky Seven-Person Dome Tent My family has not yet used this tent in the rain, but we have been camping in it in dry weather and as a family of five it worked extremly well one child slept in two of the rooms and in the center was my husband and I and a pack-and-play for our infant and it had plenty of room! It was very well ventalated and it was very easy to set up and take down. The children also like to set it up in the back yard and play in it. I have no complaints as of yet(as listed above we have not used it in the rain yet) I do recomend bying this tent.

Summary: Great Tent For The Money
Comment: We just got back from our camping trip and have to give this tent 5 stars! When we had first received the tent, we set it up in the backyard as practice and felt the directions were a little confusing, but did manage to get the then up reasonably fast. When we go to the campsite, initially it was just myself and my son and because we had practiced putting it up, it took no more then 15 minutes to have it up and ready for use.
Within a few hours of putting the tent up, it began to rain and I mean it poured for a few hours. During this time the inside of the tent remained dry. By bedtime it had begun to rain and it rained most of the night. We woke up to a dry tent! We were so impressed and excited how well it held up to all the rain we encountered.
The only thing I don't agree with is sleeping 8 people, however we had four of us in the tent with some room to spare. This included 2 twin air mattresses and 1 queen size mattress.
To make a long story short, I would highly recommend this great tent!
