Customer Rating: Summary: must have item Comment: I was very impressed with this. I was on a survival course weekend, and did not have a regular sleeping bag. This item is very light weight and kept me so warm that I ended up sleeping on top of it for one of the nights.
It reflects a lot of body heat. Even if you are not going to use this as a sleeping bag (as I did). If you are in a tent and unfold it to use as a ground mat, you will be amazed what a difference it makes to the temperature. Keep one of these in your car / backpack. Takes up a lot less space than a blanket and does offer some water resistance if you need to use it as a shelter in the rain.

Carry it as a winter survival precaution or as an ultra light alternative to a summer-light sleeping bag, either way the Adventure Medical Kits Thermo-Lite 2 Bivy takes up very little room in your pack, boat, or snowmobile. The Thermo-Lite 2 bottom is 30 stronger than previous versions, and Velcro openings on the top and side allow for escape of excess heat and moisture vapor.
