My 3-year old takes this chair to his older brothers' sports practices/games. The chair does come with a typical carrying case. The cup holder is large enough to hold his various toddler sippy-type cups (which are usually too wide for most cup holders). Good size for him to be able to get in and out of the chair himself, and yet he still has tons of room in the chair and will be able to use it easily for the next couple of years.
