Summary: Better than Slumberjack
Comment: I bought the Slumberjack XL cot at a store and had to take it back b/c I had a hard time putting in the head and foot bars - my husband and I together couldn't do it, but this one I could set up myself. Comfy and big, didn't notice any particularly bothersome creaking noises.

Comment: I was surprised on just how big the cot was. Definately large enough for 2 small children to share. It is alittle bit tall for me, at 5'2", to get off. I also have added a pad on top to make alittle softer. Easy to set up and take down. We have just used to in our home up to now, but will be using it this summer for camping. One for me and one for the husband. No more leaking mattresses.

Comment: I've never considered trading in my air mattress for a cot, But after reading all the product reviews, I took a chance. I will never go back to air mattresses again! Air mattresses not only leak, but they do not keep the body warm. This cot is huge (like a twin-size bed) and works great for one big guy or even two children. I woke up toasty and rested using a sleeping bag. And with its sturdy construction, this cot will last for years. I've never known an air mattress to last for more than a couple of months with regular use. Yes, the cot is higher off the ground than other cots, which might be a hassle for people with shorter legs, but I had no problems (I'm 5'8). Be aware, it makes a funny creaking sound when you change positions.
Idea: I purchased a quilted twin-sized mattress cover and it fit perfectly over the cot. Nice and soft!

Summary: xl camp cot
Comment: I have camped for several thousands of nights in all types of weather. Over the years I have had a wide range of camp cots including the same style as the xl camp cot but not the same size. This cot will provide everthing that I'm looking for. My sleeping bag is wide and fits very nicely on the cot. The cot is eazy to set up and take down and fits nicely in the handy carring bag. The only down side to the cot is it's not a back pack cot but again neither is my sleeping bag. In short it's all a good fit and I hope to enjoy it for years to come. Thanks Dan

Summary: A cot for a big guy
Comment: The biggest cot I have ever seen. It will work for me, I' 6'7" and 250 lbs. The legs could be heavier duty and the storage pouch could be bigger. If I had to do it over I would go with the cabelea's big guy cot. More money, lower to the ground, but the legs are heavy duty.
