Summary: Complete waste of money!
Comment: Not really worth it at all! I wasted 1/4 of a Swedish Firesteel trying to get some of it to burn. And that was in perfect conditions in my garage at home. Cotton balls work better, and they're A LOT cheaper! I will never purchase it again.

Comment: This looked perfect for my daypack emergency kit. I actually bought this for the little snuff box, (who's gonna pay $4 for wood shavings?), turns out it holds only 1 oz. and it's PLASTIC! Under GOOD conditions that amount might start 2-3 fires. Had it been metal, adding an O-ring would keep it's contents dry. I could've got the sticks & made much more for same price!

Comment: I've used a number of tinder types to start a fire before and what I like about Maya products is that they are all natural (this is really just fatwood shavings)....no mystery chemicals included....works best with a firesteel if you have one.
