Customer Rating: Summary: Great Walker! Comment: The key to this one was its lightness. My elderly mother needed a wallking stick and couldn't have dealt with a heaven wooden one. Aluminum ones are light but not very attractive. The bamboo was beautiful and light!
Iron Bamboo is native to India. The walls are thick, sometimes solid making it the strongest species of bamboo. Being thick walled, it does not split like it's thin skinned cousins. Within a clump, it can grow as much as a foot each day. If you prefer a lighter walking stick, then the Iron Bamboo is for you. Based on our experience the sizing chart shows suggested lengths of staffs corresponding to individuals's heights. These are only suggestions.
