Customer Rating: Summary: Greatest tweezer on earth. Comment: I bought one of these years ago at a lumber yard and finally lost it. I bought 3 more on Amazon and am thrilled with them. They'll get a splinter out easier than the drug store tweezer. I do woodworking and metal working and they even will grasp a small metal sliver. A magnifier helps to see the sliver.
These are must for every purse, medicine chest, shop, vehicle and first aid kit you own. At around $5.00 each buy a number of them. That I still have them is i) fortuitous and ii) very lucky (something this small over 15 years and six 'moves'should be very easy to lose). Unlike other tweezers that are usually too 'thick' to get the most problematic splinters, the Uncle Bill Tweezers ALWAYS gets out the foreign object. The quality and precision of this item is best illustrated when removing an ingrown hair. With most tweezers, you cannot remove the hair, *especially* if it's slightly below skin surface. One or two prods by these tweezers always gets the job done.
